Cargo condition surveys
Visual inspection of the cargo to determine its condition.
Damage surveys
To determine cause and extent of cargo damage.
Pre-discharging survey
At the request of P&I Clubs visual inspection of the cargo before loading is carried out . The surveyor remarks about apparent cargo condition should be presented to ship’s master in writing.
P&I Pre-shipment surveys
At the request of P&I Clubs visual inspection of the cargo before loading is carried out .The surveyor remarks about apparent cargo condition should be presented to ship’s master in writing.
Weighing supervision
Close supervision of weighing of some commodities on weighing bridge including checking its last calibration
Tally
For bulk cargoes trucks are weighed before and after loading and keeping record of truck number and loaded quantity and providing daily tally reports of cargo discharged .
For some other commodities the number of units or pieces loaded or discharged is recorded.
